is the Va Va Voom Room?
The Va Va Voom Room is a combination of vaudeville and burlesque
showcased in a theatrical cabaret environment. The show features
different performers and performances from New York, Los Angeles,
Seattle and local San Francisco talent.
So is the Va Va Voom Room a club? A disco? Dinner
theater?
None of the above, although it will be just as exciting as
if it were. Much like a play, our performers take the stage
in front of audience members who are seated cabaret style
at tables as cocktail waiters and waitresses serve mixed drinks,
wine and beer.
Is the Va Va Voom Room a strip show?
Not at all. The Va Va Voom Room features an eclectic assortment
of performers, from magicians to singers to burlesque dancers
to clowns. Our burlesque dancers do traditional risqué
dance numbers in a theatrical environment, never going beyond
a pair of pasties.
Is it the same show every week?
Nope, each week features a mix of fresh talent from our stages
in New York, Los Angeles and Seattle. Such feature performers
bring wholly fresh acts to our stage. Each of the San Francisco-based
performers do different acts each week. All in all, the show
are always a unique experience.
The performance I want to see is sold out on the web.
What can I do?
Well, there are usually some tickets available for purchase
at the door due to last-minute cancellations and no-shows.
Please come to the box office and ask that your name be put
on the list for unclaimed tickets. We will do everything in
our power to accommodate you. However, please understand that
the only way to guarantee entry is purchasing tickets in advance.
Haven’t I seen some of The Va Va Voom Room’s
performers doing other shows in San Francisco?
Maybe. Some of our local acts do perform elsewhere. But, for
the most part, when they perform for us, they will be doing
numbers specially prepared for our stage. So while you may
see some familiar faces, we try hard to make sure you’ve
not seen our acts on any other stage.
Do you have to be of legal age to see the show?
Yes, you must be 21 years or older to see the show. Identification
will be requested at the door.
